Introduction

Get support with your class research assignments. Help is available at the Library Services Desk in the Student Success Center (Room 2200) on Central Campus and by appointment online via Zoom. There are hours for scheduled appointments and drop-in assistance. 

Research Assistance

Getting research assistance can answer your specific questions quickly and easily and/or give you in-depth guided help for many of your courses. Sessions can be anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Get help with:

  • Searching for and finding sources(articles, eBooks, print books, streaming video, and media) 

  • Evaluating sources (scholarly, professional, news, periodicals, bias, and popular sources) 

  • Navigating library databases and catalogs 

  • Support for writing citations, paper formatting (APA, MLA, AMA) 

Schedule an Appointment

Appointments are up to 1/2 an hour long. You must schedule your appointment by 5 PM the day before. Schedule a session here. To schedule a session you will need to:

  • Pick a location(in-person at Student Success Center or online via Zoom). The librarian will contact you with a Zoom link before the appointment time.
  • Tell us more about what you need help with, you may include details about your assignment, your research topic or question. The more information you provide, the better prepared we will be to help you.

Come prepared to appointments or for drop-in help. Bring with you:

  • Your research assignment 
  • Ideas for your research topic
  • If you have have attempted to find resources, please let us know where you have tried searching and what search terms you used.
