Library Support for Faculty and Students
The library offers support for faculty including:
- Designing and delivering library led workshops based in the ACRL Information Literacy Framework and College Wide Core Abilities: Demonstrate Critical Thinking. Fill out the Library Instruction Form to request.
- Creation of online library support such as course guides and tutorials to support student research assignments. Fill out the Library Instruction Form to request.
- Finding, evaluating and implementing Open Educational Resources. Fill out the OER Consultation Form to request support.
- Finding library resources for your course. See this guide for linking to library content in Blackboard.
- Accreditation support, please email the library@blackhawk.edu so we can prepare necessary materials.
- Course Reserve coordination, making required course materials available to students borrow for free. Fill out the Curriculum Reserve Request Form to begin the process.
- Quality Matters Standard 4.3 support for citation and academic standards (“Course models academic integrity expected of learners”)
- Refer students for library help via Starfish for research support
